Matthew Robinson sells 50 acres to James L. Varner

The State of South Carolina
Know all men by these Presents that I Matthew Robinson of Union District and in the State 
aforesaid in consideration of one Hundred and fifty dollars to me paid by James L. Varner 
of Union District and in the State aforesaid have granted, bargained, Sold, and released, 
And by these Presents do grant bargain Sell and release unto the said James L. Varner all 
that tract piece or parcell of Land Situate lying and being in Union District on the waters 
of Thickety Creek Containing fifty Acres, (More or less, Begining at a red oak thence 
Binding on Mary Robinson Decd thence on James Carry, Thence on Robert Moorhead Thence to 
the Begining - Together with all and Singular the rights members hereditraments and 
appertainances to the Said Premises belonging or in any wise incidental or appertaining 
To have and To hold all and Singular the premises before mentioned unto the 
Said James L.Varner his heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs, 
executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and Singular the 
Said Premises unto the said James L.Varner his heirs and assigns against myself and my 
Heirs or any other person whomsoever Lawfully claiming or to Claim the same or any part 
thereof.  
Witness my hands and Seal this Eleventh day of October in the year of our Lord 
one thousand Eight Hundred and nineteen and in the fortyfourth year of the Independance 
of the United States of America.
Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of:

J. Pridmore

State of South Carolina, Union District:
Personally appeared before me John Pridmore and made oath that he saw Matthew Robinson 
Sign and deliver the above Conveyance for the use and purposes therein mentioned and 
that he with John Rogers in the presence of each other Witnessed the due Execution thereof.  
Sworn to before me on this 11th day of October 1819.
