Deeds of Union County, South Carolina Book K, page 207, 1810 State of South Carolina, Union District      Know all men by these presents that I James Robertson for and in consideration of the Quantity of One Hundred Gallons of Whiskey to me paid in hand the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold and conveyed by these presents do Grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto Robert Moorhead a Certain tract or parcel of Land part of the late Matthew Robertson deceased being the forth Lot in the Said Plat containing Fifty acres bound as follows viz, On John and Matthew Robertsons Land and Wm. Moorheads Land to Have and to Hold all and singular the premises above mentioned to the only use and behoof of him the said Robert Moorhead and I do Warrent and defend the above premises from myself my heirs and assigns and all other persons Whatsoever lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof to him the said Robert Moorhead his heirs and assigns forever and -- Yet nevertheless if he the said James Robertson doth by the 25th Dec. ensung this date pay or cause to be paid unto the said Robert Moorehead the sum of Seventy five Dollars then the above conveyance to be null and void and the above to revert back to the said James Robertson.
