1814 Martha Robertson, wife of Edward Robertson, relinquishes dower rights to 
Abram Toney:

South Carolina, Union District
I James Lane one of the Justices of the Quorum for the said State and District, 
do hereby certify unto all whom it may concern tht Martha Robertson wife of 
Edward Robertson of said State and District did this day appear before me, and 
upon being privately and seperately examined before me did declare, that she 
does freely, voluntarily and without any compulsion, dread or fear, of any 
person or persons whomsoever renounce, release and forever relinqush, unto 
Abram Toney his heirs Executors and Administrators all her interest and estate 
and also all her right of Dower of in and to all and Singular a tract of land 
bought by the above Edward Robertson of John Lyles, lying in the waters of 
Big Sandy Run in said District and hath such marks and boundaries As is 
represented by a Deed in the Registers office of said District
Given under my hand and Seal this 24th Feby 1814--
