YORK DISTRICT

Know all men by these presents that I, Olliver McClane of the District of York 
in the State aforesaid n consideration of the two hundred and one dollars to me 
paid by Samuel Lowery of the District of York in the State aforesaid have 
granted bargained sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain sell 
& release unto the said Samuel Lowery one certain plantation or tract of land 
lying and being the District aforesaid containing eighty two acres more or less 
on the north side of Fishing Creek begining at a black oak and runing N. 72.ET 
23 poles to a black oak thence N.18.W.130 poles to a hickory thence S.73.2.114 
poles to a hickory thence S.40.3.67 poles to a white oak and thence to the 
begining together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments and 
appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or 
appertaining to have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned 
unto the said Samuel Lowery his heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind 
myself any hiers executors and administrators to warrant and for ever defend 
all and singular the said premises unto the said Samuel Lowery his heirs and 
assigns against myself and my heirs or any person lawfully claiming or to claim 
the same or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this thirtieth day of 
August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four and 
in the forty ninth year of the independence of the United States of America.

State of South Carolina}   Personally appeared before 
York District} me Minor Sadler and made oath that he saw Oliver McClain sign 
seal and deliver the above conveyance for the uses & purposes therein mentioned 
and that he with James Kuykendal in the presence of each other witnessed the 
due execution thereof sworn to before me this 5th day of September 1825
