WILL: In the name of God amen i Allexander Eakin being loe in bodey but Sound of minde and memery blesed be the LORD for his mercy I do hereby make this my last Will and Testament in manor following Viz first I request that my funeral exspences be defrayed and all my lawful debts paid Secondly I bequeath to my beloved wife Nancey Eakin all my household furneture all my Stock of horned Catle and my gray mare to her and to her disposeyal and a free possession of her room and fier place, and a Suffitiant Support for her off my plantation dureing her life. Thirdly I bequathe to my Son Joseph Eakin all my plantation I live on both patton and Indean Clame Subject to the above reserve made for my wife I further bequathe my Son Joseph my Negroe woman Vilet my new Waggon and Teeme of horses one Sorrell one black one gray and one other Sorril Colt my still Smith tools Rifle gun and farming Utentials with the Condition that said Son Joseph give unto my grand Son Hiram Howe at his ariveing to the years of eighteen one good horse Sadle and bridle Valued at One hundred Dollars and a good compleat Soot of Clothes from the hat to the Shoe all of a superfine quolety with a Seckond Shirt and Stockings of the same quolety Forthly I further bequathe to my beloved wife Nancey Eakin my Negroe woman Lid dureing her life and the said negroe woman Lid to be the property of my son Joseph Eakin on Condition that he payes unto my grand children the children of Allex'r Eakin deceased Viz unto each one of them forty Dollars William Eakin, Nancy Eakin, Elphy Eakin Pegey Eakin and Betcey Eakin five in all and in all the Sum of two Hundred Dollars and if Said negroe woman Shold have any Children preveous to my wifes deth S'd Children at her deth to be divideed between my Sons Thos. and William Eakin I further bequathe my Son Thomas Eakin my Negroe boy Sam and I further bequathe my Son William Eakin my Negroe woman Florah and my Negroe boy Isaac I further bequathe my Son Joseph Eakin my rideing Chair and Harnis and S'd Son Joseph is out of his legacy to pay all my lawful debts and he is to have all the produce made for Sale on my plantation this year to help defray S;d debts and the above mentioned Sums bequeathed to my grand children Eakins Allex'r and Ephrum Lackey my Negroe garl Mary and for S'd Negroe garl to remain with my daughter Ester Lackey during her Said Esther's life the before mentioned is the wife and Sons of Allex'r Lackey. I further bequathe to my grand daughter Jemimey Willson daughter of Jean Willson my Negroe girl Miley and I further leave my beloved wife Nancey Eakin my Executrix and William Barron and my Son Joseph Eakin my executors with full powers to put in execution this my last Will and Testament in Witness whareof I Set my hand and fix my Seal the seventeenth day of April in the year of our Lord and Saveour 1805.
