SOUTH CAROLINA YORK DISTRICT In the name of God Amen, I John Mcilwain being in a state of sound mind and body, do make, ordain, and publish this my last will and testament as follows: 1. I desire that all my debts lawful and in them selves be paid after my death by my executors here in to be named. 2. I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Jean Mcilwain the following property, 114 acres, my plantation and all my stock of every kind. Also my household furniture and house during the term of her natural life for her support and maintenance. My plantation after her death to my son Charles Mcilwain and his Son John Mcilwain to be equally divided between them. My stock and household furniture to be my son Charles Mcilwain and his heirs forever. 3. I leave and bequeath my son in law and daughter, Robert and Sarah Reid the sum of ten dollars. 4. I leave and bequeath to my beloved son David Mcilwain the sum of 30 dollars. Lastly I nominate and appoint my sons Charles and David executors of my last will and testament. Here by refute and setting aside all former wills by me.
