The Dakota Huronite
The Dakota Huronite (Huron, South Dakota) Thursday Sep 17, 1885

We have to chronicle the first death, I believe, which has 
occurred in this township. Mr. Thos. Nickell, father of
A. and T. F. Nickell, grocers of this place, died about 
eleven o'clock, on the morning of Sept. 9th.
Diseased was born in April. 1800, being in his 86th.
Grandpa Nickell will be missed by all.
