The Dakota Huronite
The Dakota Huronite (Huron, South Dakota) Thursday Sep 17, 1885

F. C. Stowe, who established the Howard Farmer, and was
managing editor of the Winnifried Public Ledger, died on
Saturday last aged 54 years. Mr. Stowe was one of the 
prominent newspaper men of South Dakota, but his efforts
have been greatly restricted by ill health for several years.
