	ANDREW E. LEE, born in Norway in 1847, came to America in 1850, 
locating at Madison, Wisconsin. Came to Vermillion, South Dakota, in 
1869, where he has since engaged in mercantile business, farming and 
stock growing. Elected governor upon Populist ticket, 1896; reelected, 
1898. One of the state's wealthiest men.
