	WILLIAM McINTYRE, born in Schoharie county, New York, in 1842, 
removed to Wisconsin in childhood, served throughout Civil war in 
Wisconsin Volunteers. First settler at Watertown, South Dakota, 1877. 
Promoter of many enterprises. Built Duluth, Watertown & Pacific Railway 
from Benson, Minnesota, to Huron. Died at Aransas Pass, Texas, 1897.
