All the neighbors and friends who have known him intimately for many years declare with much emphasis that he is the most remarkably preserved man, mentally and physically, whom they have ever known. So in view of his extraordinary life and marvelous vitality at this time, we feel prompted to record some of his history. Thomas Pirnie Sr., 1914
