McLEOD is the well-known editor of the "Daily News," of Aberdeen. The weekly publication of this paper was established in Aberdeen, South Dakota, February 13, 1885, by Starling & Ware, and the daily was started July 26, 1886, by Starling & Torrey Later the News Printing Company was formed, with C. J. McLeod as president and editor, and H. S. Williams as secretary and treasurer. Mr. McLeod came to South Dakota in 1883, and has since engaged in the newspaper business in Brown county.
