Cemetery History of The German Reformed Church This Mission and Cemetery was started in the year 1883 by Rev Ort. the church was built the following year by popular subscription. Rev Micheal Hofer served form 1888 to 1893. The Present pastor is Rev. Walter Odenbach. Book F, Page 447, year 1884, - Micheal Neifer and Wife Katharina, of county BonHomme Territory of Dakota first part and Peter Mack, Jacob Ehresman and Frederih Nohas, officers of the German Reformed Emanuel Congregation in Bon Homme County, of Bon Homme Co., Territory of Dakota second part, Wittness that the party of the first part in consideration of one dollar and erection of a frame church and keeping the same on the land for at least 25 years, to them in hand payed by the said parties of the second part, the receipt of whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and these presents of the sencond part, and to their successors in office, forever, all that certain piece or parcel of land situated in the county of Bon Homme and Territory of Dakota, described as follows:- commencing at the N.W. corner of the N. E. 1/4 in Sec. 21, in T96N. R60W. running E. to a point 363ft. then S. 363 ft to a point, Thence 363 ft. N. to the place of beginning, containing 3 acres more or less.
