Cemetery History of Schmoll's Private Buriels Not much is known about the early history of this cemetery, except that it like many other of its kind was a creation of the circumstances in early Pioneer days. There is no offical record of this cemetery other than a meager private record kept by Philip Schmoll, Avon, So. Dak. The Cemetery has been private property of the Schmoll's, beginning with the Patent Record dated July 29, 1889 to the Sheriffs Deed, March 22, 1934 in favor of Bon Homme, Co., and the Mutual Life Insurance Co., a Corporation of Newark, New Jersey. This information is recorded in Book 0 , Page 179, and Book S1D Page 385, office of register of Deeds, Bon Homme Co., Tyndall, So. Dak. Note: Mrs Elisabeth Schmoll was buried by Rev. Hofer Pastor of the Free Reformed Church, also called the old Philip Hiel Church, on the John Hauk place, two miles North of Denny Murphy. Mother and babe together share the same grave. She also is the mother of the three children interned by her side.
