Mitchell Daily Republican Tuesday Dec 29, 1885

Scotland, Dec 27 -- Last Tuesday Chris Singer and Thos. Campbell
got into a row at a saloon in this place, and the latter was severely
beaten and kicked in the head. He was taken to his home in the
country, where he died yesterday from the effect of his injuries.
Singer left town soon after the assault, and is now wanted on a
charge of murder. He is supposed to have gone to Mitchell.
