		Claremont

	This charge was organized by Rev. A. F. Thompson Jan. 21, 1887, with 55
members. At the Conference of 1887 Rev. A. F. Thompson was sent to this charge,
and already has secured a fine church building worth $3,500, and a parsonage
worth $500. Rev. Thompson has gained the reputation of being a successful church
builder, and, in this connection, we call attention to the fact that the churches
and parsonages below mentioned are the result of his ernest labors: Church at 
Wessington, church at Pierre, church and parsonage at Madison, church and parsonage
at Howard, parsonage at Huron, churches at Carthage, Roswell, Diana, Salem, and 
Claremont - 9 churches and 4 parsonages. Claremont has three preaching places, and
72 members.
