N. Hoover, near Bijou Hills, June 28th at 11:30 p. m. Everybody knows of the long period of sickness of Mrs. Heath and how bravely she stood it, and it was with a feeling of relief that we heard that she had been relieved of her sufferings here and gone to the land where there is no suffering nor pain. Mrs. Heath’s maiden name was Ellen Minerva Larrabee. She was born in Cuyhaga county, Ohio, on July 29th, 1848, being 73 years, 11 months and 29 days old at the time of her death. She was married to Jonathan Heath in Chickasaw county, Iowa, on April 4th, 1872. They moved to Brule County, in 1882, and were among the very earliest settlers. In 1900 Mr. and Mrs. Heath moved to Minnesota and then to Stanley, Wisconsin, returning to Bijou Hills in July, 1921, where she was taken sick soon after arriving and was a constant sufferer until her death. She united with the Brethren church in 1887 and was a member the rest of her life. Mrs. Heath leaves to mourn her loss, her aged husband, Jonathan Heath, three daughters, Mrs. J. N. Hoover, of Bijou Hills, Mrs. C. E. Guyer and Mrs. G. R. Shade of Stanley, Wis., one brother, S. W. Larrabee, of Bassett, Iowa, one sister, Mrs Antonette Sutton of Sioux Falls, five grandchildren and a host of friends. She was loved by all who knew her, and the memory of her life will live with us during the years to come. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. F. Brown and the remains laid to rest in the Bijou Hills cemetery.
