Wadsworth. In the death of Margaret Wadsworth the Idana Community has lost a valued citizen. Always active in community affairs, Mrs. Wadsworth had served as the Idana postmaster for 32 years before her retirement in 1946. She was also a member of the Idana Rebekah Lodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, and two sisters. One daughter. Allie Winnifred Wadsworth, passed away in May, 1936. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Carl E. Printz; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Vinzant and Mrs. Emmett Johnson, both of Topeka; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Idana Presbyterian Church Thursday, December 8, 1955, at two p.m. with the Rev. L. E. Kuhne in charge. A mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Fred Meek, Mrs. Milo Meek, Don Frazier and Fred Meek sang "It is well with my soul". Mrs. Milo Meek and Don Frazier sang "Whispering Hope". Mrs. Lester Hoar was the musician. Pall bearers were Fred Meek, George Walker, Merle Gonser, Delbert Sterett, Jim Chestnut and Milo Meek. Burial was in the Idana cemetery.
