VERMILLION A prosperous and growing city. County seat of Clay county, at the confluence of the Missouri and Vermillion rivers, on the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Ry., 40 miles east of Yankton. Has a new city hall costing $50,000, a Carnegie library, good streets, with cement sidewalks; water and electric light plants, and all the modern city improvements.
