			Armour

	This charge is situated in Douglas county. Rev. W. M. Welch was the first 
Methodist preacher to preach in this county. This was on the 18th of June, 1882.
On May 28, 1883, Rev. C. V. Martin organized the first Methodist society in the 
county. In the summer of 1885 a church was completed at Grand View while Rev. M. 
Doty was pastor. This was afterward sold and the membership transferred from 
Grand View to Armour. At present we have a church at Roberts' appointment on 
this charge worth $1,500. A church is being built at Armour. The charge has three 
organized classes and 60 members. Rev. Wm. M. Welch is pastor.
