H. Ellis CORNELIUS HOGEBOOM was born in the state of New York in 1857 and with his parents came to the state of Wisconsin when about three years of age and to Faulk county in the spring of 1883, since which time he has been a continuous resident of the township of Hillsdale, Faulk county. On December 16th, 1877, he married Ermina Hammond at Limoncase, Wisconsin. To them have been born two children, William and Thomas P., both of whom are married, William H., to Miss Emma Findeis and Thomas P., to Sadie Janes. William H., now resides in Hillsdale and Thomas P., in the town of Zell. To William H., and Emma (Findeis) Hogeboom two children have been born, viz: Clayton and Cornelius. Mr. Hogeboom has not only experienced the hardships and privations of pioneer life, but his reward is that prosperity which has come to so many of our Faulk county farmers. He is now one of our independent, retired farmers, pleasantly located in the village of Rockham. Additional Comments: From: HISTORY OF FAULK COUNTY SOUTH DAKOTA CAPTAIN C. H.
