    AMON C. VOSS was born in Indiana June 8, 1858, and remained in that state

until the year 1885, when he removed to Faulk county, South Dakota. On December

12, 1869, he married Miss Sarah F. Hawkins a native of Indiana. To them have

been born six children, viz: Mary V., who in 1892 married Aaron Peck and resides

in Canada, West; Lorenzo A., who is married and lives in this county; Chas. S.,

who is a resident of this county; Earl E., who resides in Bowman, North Dakota;

Inez I., and Roy E., who are at home with their parents.



    Mr. Voss has a farm of 480 acres, 200 acres under cultivation, good farm,

buildings, all necessary farm machinery, twenty head of horses and forty-five

head of neat stock. His home is two and one-half miles from a railway station.

After twenty-three years residence in this county, today he stands among the

happy, satisfied, and contented Faulk county farmers.
