Deloy Born Dec. 25 1829 Died Nov. 12, 1914 Left Side: Melindia, His Wife Born 1840 Died Mar. 22, 1894 This photo is of their marker. It has a large horizontal cylinder on top with the letter "D" which does not show in the picture. They both have individual stones. Joseph's stone shows that he was a Private in the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry, Civil War. Melinda's stone contains only the word "Mother." Additional Comments: Joseph was born Charles Joseph Deloye on December 25, 1834 (not 1829 as indicated on the marker) according to his French birth record. Melinda was the daughter of John Fadden and Mary Ann Nokes. Her name is incorrectly spelled Melindia on the marker.
