Stlla Louise Thiese was born at Postville Iowa on August 22, 1891. She married 
Frank Kelly in 1915. Her obituary was printed in the Flint Journal, Flint, 
Michigan on May 20, 1958. 

KELLY--Stella L. Kelly, 2526 Lawndale, age 66, died Monday, May 19, 1958, at 
the residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, May 21, 
1958 from the Colonial Chapel, Riegle Funeral Home, 2417 S. Saginaw St., Rev 
Charles Pausley officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Kelly will 
remain at the Reigle Funeral Home. Death followed a long illness. She was born 
in Postville, Iowa, Aug 22, 1891, and resided in Flint for the last 41 years. 
Her husband Frank L. Kelly, preceded her in death June 3, 1957. Surviving are 
three daughters, Mrs Ruth Wernette of Davison, Mrs Marguerite DeRyke of 
Torgana, Calf., Miss Dorothy Kelly at home; 3 sons, Donald of Pontiac, Robert 
of Flint, and Earl of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Wilfred Thiese of Flint, 
Leonard Thiese of Pontiac; 3 sisters, Mrs Dorothy Plymal of California, Mrs 
Ruth Plymal of Alabama, Miss Esther Thiese of Flint; 9 grandchildren; several 
nieces and nephews.

Stella Thiese moved to Alesandria South Dakota about 1900.  She graduated from 
Alexandria High School where she played on the girls basketball team around 
1909. She attended the Girls Business College of Grand Island Nebraska where 
she was active in school plays and sports.  She married Frank L. Kelly, a 
studnet at Columbus College in Chamberlain SD., on August of 1915 at Yankton 
South Dakota.  She was the duaghter of August and Dora Thiese of Alexandria 
and White Lake South Dakota.
