Wessington Springs Herald March 1, 1889
A Silver Medal

    The Christian Prohibition League has taken up the contest for the silver
gold and diamond medal which W. Jenning Demorest offers to the best orator. One
medal, a beauty, and genuine silver, has arrived and will be awarded the
successful one on Friday evening, March 8th, at the M. E. church. Come,
everybody, and enjoy the eloquence overflowing, and encourage the young folks.
