WHEREAS, Gen. U. S. Grant, the loved and honored chief of the nation, the hero of many battles, and beloved comrade of the G. A. R., died July 23, 1885, and WHEREAS, We desire to show proper respect for our honored dead, RESOLVED, That it is with profound grief that the Woman's Relief Corps, No. 12, auxiliary to E. O. C. Ord Post, No. 29, Department of Dakota, receives these tidings, and RESOLVED, That for 30 days, upon all public occasions, we will wear the badge of mourning in token of the great loss of the nation. RESOLVED, That we do hereby extend out deep and lovong sympathy to the bereaved family, and especially to the widow, in the great loss of her noble husband; and we pray our Heavenly Father to comfort their hearts. RESOLVED, That these resolutions be published in the Wessington Springs HERALD and Jerauld County News, and recorded in the minutes of the Woman's Relief Corps, No. 12, Department of Dakota.
