Wessington Springs Herald
At the afternoon meeting of the Jerauld Co. W. C. T. U. yesterday, the following
officers were elected: President- Mrs. Dr. N. C. Hall; a vice president from
each township except Logan; Mrs. C. M. Spears, recording secretary; Mrs. Jennie
H. Miles, corresponding secretary; Mrs. E. Tofflemire, treasurer. The following
superintendents were chosen by the Union: Mrs. T. L. Blank on franchise; Mrs. R.
J. Smart, scientific temperance instruction; Mrs. N. C. Hall, juvenile work;
Mrs. A. T. Huntley, evangelistic work; Mrs. Davenport hereditary and hygiene;
Mrs. M. D. Crow, tobacco; Mrs. Pagenhart, work among foreigners; Mrs. Tryon,
desecration of the Sabbath; Mrs. Smith (108-66) influencing physicians not to
prescribe alcohol in medicine.
