Editors Wessington Springs Herald:

    The annual election of officers for Pioneer W. C. T. U., of Wessington
Springs, Jerauld Co., D. T. took place on May 27, 1885.

    The following officers were elected:

President, Mrs. C. M. Spears; vice pres., Mrs. J. F. Alberts; cor. sec., Mrs.
Florence Vessey; rec. sec. Mrs. D. W. Shryock; treas., Mrs. E. Tofflemire; Union
Signal and evangelistic work, Mrs. A. Jordan; juvenile work, Mrs. Dr. N. C.
Hall; scientific work, Mrs. J. Miles; librarian and temperance literature, Mrs.
Florence Vessey; influencing the press, Mrs. J. Miles and Mrs. Dr. N. C. Hall;
superintendent soldiers' work, Mrs. C. M. Spears; young woman's work, Sabbath
desecration and music, Mrs. J. Smart.

    At the close a hearty vote of thanks was tendered the editors of the
Wessington Springs Herals and Jerauld Co. News for space in their columns kindly
given to Pioneer W. C. T. U. for temperance work.
