We are actually not related to Rolla, but this wonderful photo was passed on to
me by my mother-in-law (still living).  Her name is Evelyn Bidleman Whitney, and
she grew up in Jerauld County.  This is what she wrote regarding this photo:
"Rolla Cady was a mailman known to my parents.  From what I could learn, he
carried mail on a star route between Wessington Springs to Gann Valley, probably
a 30 mile trip daily.

Additional Comments:
I saved this down to a lower resolution, but I have a higher res version if his
family should see this and should be interested in my sending.  I also imaged
the back of the photo, which shows his name.  I don't know if he signed it, or
someone else wrote his name on the back, but it's there.  :)
