MARRIED

SHRYOCK-TOFFLEMIRE-At the residence of the bride's parents, on Sunday evening
July 1st, 1883, by the Rev. J. W. P. Jordan, Mr. T. H. Shryock and Miss Kate A.
Tofflemire, all of Wessington Springs.

    The immediate relatives of the contracting parties were the only ones, aside
from the minister and wife, who were priviledged to witness Tommy's transition
from the Territory of bachelordom to the STate of Matrimony. The occasion was a
most enjoyable one, and though long expected will perhaps be a surprise to many
of the friends of the parties. Together with their large circle of friends the
Herald unites in throwing all of its old shoes after the happy pair and wishing
them a pathway arched with horse-shoes, that good luck, prosperity and happiness
unalloyed may be their to the end of a long and useful life.
