Wessington Springs Herald Oct. 5, 1888
Married- On the 2nd inst a fair number of relatives and intimate friends,
gathered at the residence of J. H. Vessey at Crow Lake to witness the marriage
of Miss May Hunt of Pleasant township to Mr. P. H. Hedrick of Ottumwa Iowa. At
11 A. M. the Rev. S. F. Huntley performed the usual ceremony and concluded that
1 p[l]us 1 equals 1. Many valuable and useful gifts were presented to the happy
couple. The bridegroom presented his bride with a gold watch and chain. Pleasant
township society will miss one of its most noted members Our hearty
congratulations and wishes of joy and prosperity  accompany Mr and Mrs Hedrick
to their Ottumwa home.
