Book Title: Doane Robinson's Encyclopedia Of South Dakota

  Arlington is a city in the northeastern part of Kingsbury County. Founded in
1880 by the Western Town Lot Co. Named from Arlington, Virginia. Original name
of this station was Nordland, named in honor of the many Scandinavians who had
settled in these parts. Population, 1920, see census. "The Sun," founded in
1885, is the only newspaper.
