Volunteer Enlistment
Mustered into the service of the United States, for three years or during the
war, from date of enlistment, in Company A, Ninth Regiment of Minnesota
Volunteers, on the 25th day of February, 1864, at Rochester, Minn.

Physical description - 6 feet tall, light hair, sandy complexion, age 23.  He
was born in Oneida County, New York.

Served until twenty seventh of June 1864 when he was discharged for chronic
ulcers on both legs.
