Madison Daily Leader 4 December 1952
  Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Phillips who died Saturday were held Thursday
afternoon at Hallenbeck Funeral home.  Rev. E. N. Nelson officiated.  Burial was
in Graceland cemetery directed by Hallenbeck Funeral home.
  Kermit Kiner sang "In the Garden" and "Abide With Me" accompanied by Mrs. A.
E. Swan.
  Pallbearers were Olaf Olson, Floyd Kirstein, Leonard Casanova, Jack Casanova,
Steve CaJacob and George Simpson Jr.
  Out-of-town guests were Mrs. Emma Shifflett, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Carpenter,
and Loretta Mooney, Sioux Falls; Merl S. Dixon, Seattle; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd
Sammons, Huron; Mrs. Ella Dixon, Montrose; and Mrs. E. M. Phillips, Pipestone, Minn.
