Funeral services for Mrs. Oline Martin Ohlman Hansen, of Whitewood, were held on Wednesday at 1:30 in the afternoon from the Presbyterian church in that city, and the flower offering, sent from all parts of the hills by the many friends of the deceased, was large. Mrs. Hansen was born in Hadersler, Denmark in 1838. She came to America in 1880, and five years later married Goren Hansen, of Lawrence County. Mrs. Hansen has been ailing for the past year. After suffering a breakdown earlier in the week she had rallied considerably and hope was held out for her recovery. However, on Sunday afternoon she suffered a stroke of paralysis and in the evening of that day passed away. According to her wish, she was buried in the Anderson cemetery, north of Whitewood, beside the body of her husband. She leaves to mourn her loss, a stepson, Stephen James Hansen, of Whitewood, Lawrence county commissioner; a brother M. P. Ohlman, a sister, Mrs. Marie Loose, and a number of grandchildren, besides a host of friends thruout [sic] the Black Hills, made her long residence in this section."
