McPherson county. Settled in 1886. An incorporated city on the C M & St P Ry 68 miles w of Aberdeen. Has Baptist, Catholic, Congregational, Evangelical, Lutheran and Reformed churches, 2 banks, a hotel, a German Lutheran College, 6 grain elevators, a flour mill, an opera house, an electric light plant and water works.
