Cooper ,75,will be at 3 p.m.Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church with Rev.Jack Whetzel officiating.A private family service and burial will be Wednesday morning.Visitation will be at Kinkade Funeral Chapel from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.A memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.She died Saturday in Minot,N.D.She was born June 17,1909 in Sturgis to Fred and Ada Hampton.She grew up in Sturgis,graduating from Sturgis High School in 1927.She attended South Dakota State University and a business college in Indianapolis and worked for seven years in Commercial National Bank (now Norwest Bank Black Hills) in Sturgis.She married Henry Cooper at Sturgis Sept.4,1937 .She worked as church secretary at First Presbyterian Church for eight years and was church organist for may years.She was a deacon and a member of First Presbyterian Church and a 50 year member of Order of the Eastern Star.Survivors include a son,Tom of Vermillion;two daughters,Marcis Giske of Edena,Minn.,and Shirley Hale of Minot,N.D.; and seven grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966 File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/sd/meade/obits/c/cooper41gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/sdfiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
