    Funeral services for Mrs. Malinda Jane Rupe were held from the Sturgis 
Presbyterian church on Saturday afternoon, the pastor, Rev. C. D. Erskine, 
officated.
    The pall bearers were Messers. Fred P. Hampton. Byron Case. Blair and John 
Skalinder.
    Internment was in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.
    Malinda J. Crow was born August 21 1843,near Farmington. Iowa, and passed 
away on July 7 th. age 83 years. 11 months. She leaves two sons and five 
daughters. Mrs. Frank Davis,Mrs. Thos. H.Cooper. Mrs. J. M. Cooper. of 
Sturgis,Mrs. Jay Bunting of Van Cover,Washington.Lee and Arthur Rupe of 
Sturgis. There are twenty-two grandchildren and fourteen great 
grandchildren.The husband died in 1910. They came to the Black Hills in 1882.
    Mrs. Rupe was a member of the Sturgis Presbyterian church and also a 
member of the Presbyterian Worker society. She was a very kind and devoted 
mother and most highly esteemed by all.
