The home of Mr.and Mrs. Fred P.Hampton on upper Main street was the scene on 
Saturday night of the marriage of their daughter Marjorie H. Hampton to Henry 
Neil Cooper of Sturgis.Rev Carroll D.Erskine performed the ring service in the 
presence of a number of relatives and intimate friends.The brides cousin,Miss 
Agnes Lamberton, was maid of honor,while the groom wsa attended by his brother 
Carroll D. Cooper.The bride wore a gown of blue crepe and wore a corsage of 
roses.At six-thirtey,to the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding March,played by 
Mrs.Fred Beier,the wedding procession made it's way to the large front parlor, 
beautifully decorated with gladioli and other flowers,where the ceremony was 
performed.Following the service dinner was served to the wedding party and 
guests.Early in the evening the couple left for a honymoon trip of an 
unannoucned destination.Upon their return they will be at home in an apartment 
in the Carl Sjolander house on Fulton street.many and lovely gifts were 
received by the couple.The bride, who is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Fred 
P. Hampton,is  a graduate of Sturgis high school.She also attened Brookings 
State Collegeand the Indianapolis,Ind.,Busines College.For several she has 
been an able and effciant member of the Commercial National Bank force 
here.The groom is a son of Mrs. Ida M. Cooper of Sturgis.He graduated from the 
Sturgis high school and for several years has been a valued employe of the 
Sturgis Commercial National Bank.Both the contracting parties are deservedly 
popular and are highly esteemed by a host of friends.
