BANGOR (SELBY) John Mangen Post No. 150 This post was chartered in 1889 and was named in honor of the first soldier who died in the county. It is reported from Selby that this soldier fought in the regular army and was one of the 27 men in Fort Sumter when it was fired upon in 1861. The largest membership reached was 24 in 1889.
