He died Thursday at the veterans' hospital, Sioux Falls. Burial will be in St. Wilfrid's Cemetery, Woonsocket Rosary will b« recited Friday at 8 p. m. at the Willougnby Funeral Home, Howard. Zapp was born Feb. 12, 1887, in Germany. He came to the United States when he was five years old. He married Katherin Kieffer in September 1922 in Woonsocket. Survived by his widow, Katherine, of Carthage; six daughters Mrs. Eldon Senska, Woonsocket; Mrs. Kenneth Thompson, Paramount, Calif.; Mrs. Bruce Red, Huron; Mrs. Francis Endres, Chamberlain; Mrs. Terrell Turner, Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. Edward Johnson, Kenosha, Wis.; five sons. Martin, John and Eugene of Kenosha, Wis.: Leo, Carthage; Thomas at home: 21 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Hanisch, Humbold; Gruenwaldt, Woonsocket: Mrs. Matt Smith Faulkton and Mrs. Home Charles, Reno Nev. was preceded in death by one son, Clarence.
