Book Title: Doane Robinson's Encyclopedia Of South Dakota

  Academy of Science, South Dakota. An organization of men trained, in science
to promote scientific information; organized at Aberdeen, Nov. 22, 1915, with
103 charter members, chiefly instructors in science at the institutions of
higher learning. The membership has since been much extended and somewhat
popularized. It holds annual meetings (usually in connection with some of the
institutions of learning) for the discussion of scientific papers.
