Deceased was born in Wyoming county, N. Y., March 28th, 1835, was married two times, to his first companion on May 6th, 1866, and to his second companion on September 5th, 1875. He removed from New York state with his family to South Dakota in 1885, and settled in Sully, where he resided until last spring when they removed to Potter county. Deceased leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn his departure, all of whome reside here, Mrs. Adelle Weed and Miss Mabel Finch. Funeral services were held in the Congregational church Sunday afternoon, and conducted by Rev. Swartout, and the remains were taken to the Lebanon cemetery for interment. Deceased was not very widely known here, but still there were quite a large turnout to the funeral services. (as written) Additional Comments: Lafayette Finch is my GG-Grandfather. His daughter, Adelle Finch, married Thomas E. Weed and their daughter, Adelle Weed, married Earl Duncan. Their son William Earl Duncan,, born October 30, 1927, died February 5, 1969, was my father.
