Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Nathanael Lutheran church in Alcester. Rev. Robert Jones officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alcester under direction of the Wass funeral home in Alcester. Mrs. Green, the former Carrol Thompson, was born Dec. 16, 1910, near Alcester, to Mathias and Mary (Anderson) Thompson. She received her education at the Finn Country School, and did housework for area families. She then worked for the Norway Center store. She married Miles Green March 12, 1946, at Dakota City, Neb. They farmed near Alcester. Miles died in 1969. Carrol stayed on the farm and managed it until January of 1979, when she entered the Bethesda nursing home. She was a member of Nathanael Lutheran church, where she taught Sunday school for a number of years. She was a member of W.E.L.C.A., and the VFW auxiliary. Survivors include two brothers, Ted of Alcester and Harold of Beresford; two sisters, Myrtle Isakson of Clayton, Calif., and Mrs. Donald W. (Eleanor) Anderson of Alcester; and nine nieces and nephews.
