Clara Peterson

Clara Peterson, 74, Beresford, S.D.
died Tuesday (Feb. 25, 1986) in a
Beresford nursing home.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday
in United Church of Christ in Beresford.
The Rev. Charles Allen officiated.
Burial was in the Beresford cemetery,
under the direction of the Wass funeral
home in Beresford.
Mrs. Peterson, the former Clara
Briggle, was born Nov. 19, 1911 in
Union County, South Dakota. She was
raised on her parents farm southeast of
Beresford and graduated from Beresford
high school. She married Gunnard
Peterson March 7,1933 in Canton, S.D.
They farmed north of Beresford until his death in 1971.
Mrs. Peterson was a lifetime member
of United Church of Christ and was
active in its Women's Fellowship..
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.
Arlo (Beverly) Eggen of Phoenix, Ariz.;
a brother, LaDelle of Alcester; four
sisters, Mrs. Bryon (Gladys) Wiese,
Mrs. Hans (Edna) Voss and Molly
Briggle, all of Beresford and Mrs. Wally
(June) Jonnes of Canton, and four
grandchildren.
