  Ashley, Rev. Edward, D. D., LL.D., 1854- ; born in England; came to America
1873 and spent his life in missionary service, Protestant Episcopal, among the
Sioux Indians, chiefly along the Missouri River. He is joint author of the
Dakota Hymnal and Dakota-English Service Book.
