Ry., twelve miles south of Bangor and twelve miles east of Le Beau. Surrounded by a good agricultural country. Population 75. There is 150 square miles of good farming country tributary to this town. The principle crops raised are corn, wheat and oats. Dairying is also a great source of profit to the farmer. Akaska is in the heart of the natural gas belt. Natural gas is being developed for manufacturing purposes. The Akaska Clay Works plant started operation September 1, 1909. Will manufacture dry pressed brick, building blocks and tile.
