I take my pen in hand to let you no how we ar we have hade a grate del of sickness in our familey and Deth. I have lost my sweet littel babe. She was sick 3 weeks and Dide the 9 of March betwin 9 and 10 0'clock in the night. ho maw I cant tell you of all her suffrings and she did bare them all with pachients. She seam at last to fall a sleepe in Jesus. She was as lovly a littel corps as you ever saw. She looket like a littel aingel. I now that her sufferings is over. I now she is in heaen a singing prais to God and the lam. ho maw I madgin I can see her so happy in heavin. I am determed to meete her in heavin God being my helper. father and mother pray for me that I may hold out faithful. I have not bin well this winter tho I am a going about I have the liver complaint. I have the palatation at the harte. I have to take medison every day. I took a blindness in my eyes. have it now of a night. it is a black surcle with a light spot in the senter and my eyes feels weeke. I thinke it is coas from my liver. the childern is a giting about. well I was glad to hear from you. Mr. Wheatten stopt hear this morning. he said you was not vary well. I am sorre to hear that you not well tho I exspect you hardly ever feel well. you are a geting old and frail. I feel old my self. he said that you herd that Thomas was at home. he is not hear yet. we recieved a letter from him yeasterday. he was at tullahoma tennissee the 14 of March. he was well and hearty tho he cood not hear eny better yet and he said that he did not no whether he wod git a discharge or not. he dos right sum butiful letters. he has been religous. that dos eas my aching hart sum. he said that if it was the lords will to take him from this world he was wiling to go. may the lord saive him is my prar. pray for him that he may be blest. we recieved a letter from Larance Canterbury dated the 23 of January. tha was all well and doing well tha said tha hadent had a letter from you for a long time and was ancious to hear from you. try and com and see us. if you can rite if can I do not no when I can com so I must cloas by subscribing my self your affectionate dauter until death.
