I begin to think the time very Long in not hearing from you. We are not staying where we was when I wrote to you last. we 25 miles away. My wife's sister went to Ill. to see her people and we are keeping house for her husband. I was at John Nortons the day your letter came. Eliza was not at home. she was gone to see Alice about 60 miles, went on the Cars. Now Grand Ma I am sorry to have to tell you that Augustus got worse and we had to send him to the Lunatics Asilum is there now, no better when last heard from. Andrew is still in Humbolt. have not seen him for 18 months. he don't write. Milty has been working for John Norton this summer. I have not heard from Alice for some time. Now Grand Ma, I don't know yet whether or not I shall go to Texas this Fall or not if I go I shall come by and see you, if I go it will be about the 1st of Oct. I have sold my sheep only got 1.25 per head, and wait till the 1st of Sept for the money. Had just 1000 head. The Dr's boy Abbott was riding a horse on a steep hill side and horse fell with him and on him, it cracked his skull in front and after they thought he was well, he went to work and he went crazy, wild as he could be. They sent him to the asilum. I don't know how he is. These are are son trials but I try to be resigned. my own health is vary good. I weight 187 lbs neaver weighed so much before. Brother Wash has sold out, and gone to Oregon, his health is vary poor. I don't think he will live long. he don't think so either. I wrote to Jo Heplen today. Will write to Robt & Cyntha, when I get done this Grand Ma. I want to see you very much indeed but it has always seemed that I could not span the time and money. I yet hope I may get to see you once more in the flesh. I could tell you more in a day then could write in a month. tell Beall I think he might write a little to me. give them my Love and all the Ballances of the folks.
