83-0617a Bucklin MO April 17th 1883 from Dollie Nagel, friend to Ida Damrell Dear Ida Your letter was received some time ago, I was very glad to hear from you. I would have written sooner but have been neglecting it until today. We are all well but Aunt Mary and her neck is getting a good deal better, she has been poulticing it and has had it lanced on both sides, and she is almost well now. she has weaned the baby to a bottle, it is as fat as a little pig. is there a school going on up there now and are you going. there is a school going on here now for the small scholars that are not so far advanced as I am so I am not going this summer. Tell Josie and Sheman I would like to see them and GrandMa to. When did you see Mabel & Birdie S, May & Josie M & Emma ? When you see them again give them my love and tell them to write to me. I enjoyed myself splendid when I was up there I would like very much to go again if I thought I could have as good a time as I did before. Aunt Mary said tell Fannie that if she ever went up there again she was going to see her and she wants Fannie to come down and make her a visit. how is Grandma & Uncle Nings folks. Lillie said when she gets so she can write a little better she is going to write to you & Josie. she says for you to write to her. Well I guess I will close for this time hoping to hear from you soon. I remain your Friend Dollie Nagel. Excuse all mistakes & Blunders for when it rains it often__________.
